Never pay more than MRP

MRP is maximum Retail Price and includes all taxes. On one hand, the shopkeeper can not charge you more than MRP, but on the other hand, you can bargain on MRP as it is your right. 

Before buying, you must check the following on any packaged commodity:
a) Name and address of manufacturer or packer,
b) Name of the goods,
c) Net quantity in the package,
d) Month and year of manufacture or packing,
e) Name, address, helpline No. and E-mail of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Authority.

You can lodge a complaint if the package does carry above declarations.
